Swingset of Trust

You push me, I go higher
You ask me to let go.“How can I?” so I say no.

You push me, I go higher
The breeze I feel grows stronger
My desire is stirred to stay here longer
Then You ask me again to let go
“But I’ll fall to the ground,”So once more I say no.

You push me, I go higher
As I approach the sky, It beckons me to fly
The higher I go, fear rises within me
“Loosen your hold, please trust Me and let go.”
“But I’ll lose everything,” so once more I refuse and say no.

Gripping even tighter I attempt to enjoy the view yet
You push me and I go higher
You urge me to let go
You want me to soar and to inspire
Not understanding or even believing this could be so, I cry
“Push me higher!”

That brought tears to my eyes. That was just beautiful, in all sense of the word, Jen.

Awesome! This is beautiful and so special! It's honest and accurate and the imagery really puts you there, like a small vulnerable child learning to trust their parent. Thank you!
