EXCERPT OF GLENN A. COOK on recounting the revival in LA, 1906:
“If God’s people would only come together and forget about doctrine’s and leaders whose vision is blurred by building churches and collecting tithes, having only one objective, and that to be filled with all the fullness of God, I know God would answer prayer. Doctrines and teaching have their proper place in the gospel plan but that overpowering, drawing power of the love of God must come first, and our present lukewarm condition is caused by a lack of this love that ‘nothing can offend.’”
(p.313 in Cecil M. Robeck, Jr.’s book, The Azusa Street Mission and Revival)
